Standing Aid – Quest 88 UPI Vertical Stander

The UPI is a simple to use vertical stander.  The base supports the height adjustable vertical frame, knee controller unit and foot positioners. The vertical section has independent pelvic and thoracic support height adjustment. The pelvic and thoracic supports have adjustable lateral supports and positioning straps.  A height and angle adjustable tray accessory is attached to the vertical frame and is supported by telescoping props which connect the tray to the base.

The UPI is ideally suited for individuals with balance impairment and/or low muscle tone, who can achieve a standing position but who are unable to maintain that position for any length of time. It should be used as part of a standing therapy routine to help with standing co-ordination and related skills.
