To help you visualise just some of the positive impact and initiatives your donation will go towards:

• £10 could pay for sandwiches and cakes for one of our over 70’s tea parties.
• £20 could fund an older person to receive our telephone befriending service.
• £35 could pay for an older person to enjoy a Christmas party (which we hold in January to help keep the January blues at bay).
• £50 could give an older person a weekly taxi service to get to and from three community groups to have vital social interaction.
• £100 could pay for a months worth of grocery delivery for an older person.
• £300 could provide an energy top up across winter months to ensure care workers and older people aren’t sitting in the cold scared to put their heating on.
• £385 could replace a care workers or older persons washing machine so they have clean clothes.
• £500 could provide one care worker or older person with ten sessions with a qualified councillor to support their mental health and stress levels.
• £1,600 could help a care worker or older person with the financial burden of laying a loved one to rest.

Donate Care Equipment

Grace Cares are unable to collect small care equipment items such as walkers, zimmer frames, toilet frames and commodes.

We try to collect big and bulky care equipment (such as rise and recliner chairs, beds, electric wheelchairs and scooters) that is within 10 miles of our headquarters in Lichfield for free. Of course we can potentially collect care equipment that is further than 10 miles away – but this will require us having a chinwag first!

Please note: Unfortunately for health and safety reasons we can only take working equipment and any furniture donations need to have the fire label and not be over a certain age due to the use of persistent organic pollutants (POPs).
